Life’s a Journey

My day began by having an inner chat with Spirit. I grumbled that I didn’t have a book cover photograph yet! And I questioned how important was it for me to keep writing anyway, since the world seemed full of pregnancy books already?

I wanted to be sure I was in the right time and place with my purpose in this life. After all, I had been writing midwifery and wellness memoirs for a couple of years, and had woken feeling despondent about the progress.

After reviewing the situation, I decided to sing HU—a way that I use to ask for Higher help; HU, the God Sound, sung sweetly and pronounce like ‘hue’ on a long outbreath is a love song to God. A way  that I use to help keep my heart open to Spirit with an attitude of ‘this or better’; a way to align with my spiritual purpose.

About twenty minutes later, I finished singing HU. With inner peace returned again, I clearly felt that I wanted to go to Point Cartwright and watch the dawn by the ocean, as I had done many times before.

After a half hour drive I arrived at Point Cartwright. Surprisingly, dozens of people were scattered around the headland and shoreline with cameras. Usually that hour found only a few enthusiastic people jogging and walking.

As I carefully made my way down the rocky headland to sea level, I saw a pregnant woman having a photo shoot with waves in the background. After my morning grumble to Spirit, I stopped to tell them how pleased I was to see them, explaining my earlier thoughts and wonderings.

Meeting them, to me, was my answer and gave me inspiration to continue writing.

The photo that was taken at sunrise that very day, just after I had spoken with the woman and her photographer has become the theme picture for Way of Sacred Birth.

It is beautiful. In the silhouetted pose, the swim suit became invisible.

Fingers of dawn sunlight caress her tummy with her baby in the womb, offering promise for individual birthing awareness—to me, it was another sign to encourage the role of caring love and inner courage within birth and living.

Know your body. Know your baby. Trust your knowing. Love is a golden key. Intend that you are in ther right place at the right time, with the right people, and right happening; easily making the right choices and actions for yourself and your child. With kind awareness, and the ‘know how’ of common knowledge given by parents and professionals, within shared stories of experience, gently transform any sense of ‘scared’ to ‘sacred’ and develop the majesty of your own life, no matter how humble it may seem.” Suzi’s story.
